It was a cold, blustery rainy day on the morning of October 22, 2016. The members of the South River Foundation for Educational Excellence set up shop in the shed just near the concession stand at Denny Stadium in South River, NJ. We did this to keep the memorabilia items that were being raffled off safe from the wind and rain that was a fixture of the South River Homecoming Game for 2016.
Despite the rain and wind, EVERYONE was in such great spirits as we awaited the arrival of the Homecoming Parade, led by the Grand Marshall our very own Drew Pearson. Thank you to Drew Pearson & Joe Theismann who so graciously donated autographed memorabilia to help raise funds for our organization.
Please join the members of SRFEE at the public meeting of the Board of Education so that we may recognize your son and present him with a token of our appreciation for winning the contest.
The meeting is Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 7:00 PM in the High School Media Center. The presentation will be held toward the beginning of the meeting. Once again, congratulations and we look forward to seeing you!
We are looking for self motivated, energetic and creative students who are interested in becoming involved in the fundraising efforts of our organization. Responsibilities will vary based upon scheduled activities which directly benefit our schools.
Selected student members will receive community service hours for their participation.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our organization which was formed in June of 2015 to support our beloved South River School District . Our mission is to ensure the highest level of educational innovation supporting students, faculty and staff with community involvement and a partnership of lifetime learning.
We are committed to funding special projects and equipment throughout South River public schools, either as district-wide grants or grants to teachers for use in their classrooms or as professional development opportunities. Often many of these educational programs are left unfunded through the traditional district budget.
We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and all donations are tax deductible. We are in need of donations, innovative ideas, corporate sponsors, and volunteers to organize fundraisers. Please explore the opportunity of corporate matching gifts as well.
Over the last year we raised enough funds to distribute both Mini-Grants to our teachers and scholarships to South River High School graduates. We are very proud with these accomplishments, however, our goal is to provide more which is where we need your help!
Please see the Donation Pledge options on the following pages to select which one(s) work the best for you. We hope you join us in our efforts to support the students of the South River School District. With your help we can do great things!
Please visit our website and consider the following Donation Pledge options:
Sincerely,
Shenetta Turner-Smith, President
